Funny, I'm taking mine to the dealer in Orlando later today to have them check/replace the LSD.

John,

I hear ya! I have drawn the line at the trailer. No trailer for me! I cant help but imagine the benefit of dropping 40+ lbs off the rear!

I was at Big Willow Wednesday and I was very pleased with the handling and adjustments that we made since the last event. I am nowhere near your level so I think the spring rates are good for me for now (forgiving). It did not feel soft at all and I was able to drift the rear around smoothly and catch it with a little corrective action. At apex the tail would start to drift a little through all but 8 & 9 (I am still running slow through these hair raising corners).

To remove some of this oversteer would you suggest less compression in the rear or one hole softer on the rear sway bar or both? I am one off stiff front and rear on the bars and 4 clicks+ comp f/r and 3 clicks+ rebound f/r.

my dealer wanted to pull the motor/trans out as a unit to service the diff and replace it with the same exact parts...Porsche is aware of this problem but there are no superceded upgraded parts available so I will remove the trans myself and go a different route, the trans is able to be removed from the car without a motor drop...we have done this at my shop many times to R&R clutches, etc.
The tech at the Porsche dealer will not be near as careful as I will to ensure everything goes back together correctly without and boost leaks, etc...he will be trying to beat the clock in order to make money
I had a very bad experience recently with my Lambo for a A/C problem that was covered under warranty and they blew my clutch and I had to fight them to pay for it
Let me know what your dealer says John regarding your car

Garrett,

Think of the bars as a bigger change and the clickers as fine tuning. If you can fine tune do. If you can't get there then make a bar change. How much neg. camber and toe do you have?

G,

For the street go one off full soft front and rear and 3/3 on compression and rebound - you will like that. On the track try on hole stiffer front and rear, start at 3/3 and go from there dialing in the shocks to full stiff. Not enough add some more bar. Do 3 to 4 laps then made a shock change and go right back out. Until you find what you like. Are you going to BW on the 12th?
