GT3 (Loaded) versus RS

No track for me, I try to be a midnight road racer

but I'm lost between a loaded GT3 or an Orange RS... each time I make up my mind on the loaded Carrera White GT3 (PCCB, Full Leather, PCM, etc.), I take a look at the orange RS, and I faint

Help!!!

(I currently own a 997 C2S Cab., Tiptronic, and I'm booooooooooooooorrrrrrreeeeeeeeeed)

If you are not going to track then why not just get the regular GT3. The RS will not be as daily driver friendly and the base GT3 will be more than plenty for you on the track. I am a huge track junkie so I would probably opt for the RS, but in all honesty the car does not have much above a base GT3 as far as performance is concerned.

The only differences between the North American GT3 and the RS will be:
  • rear wing
  • clutch
  • wider rear body
  • different offset rear wheels
  • RS is available in orange, green, black and silver only
  • rumored sunroof delete for the RS
  • estimated $10k to 15k price increase for the RS
Both cars will perform the same, sound the same and the interiors will be the same. If you love the orange............you better get in line for the RS!

For everyday use I think living with the GT3 might be better. But for the weekend drives, the RS will be a little more focused. If it is not your daily driver I would get the RS.

it's amazing how split people are about the GT3 versus the RS, especially with an RS looking as wild as that Orange Beast!

Well, if you ever sell the thing and if the RS is really going to be limited production, then get tthe RS. You'll never get didley back for your options, and frankly, what would you really use in a GT3? shifter, brakes, gas, steering wheel, belts. The rest is superfluous. And I think (but am not sure) the RS will have ceramics, anyway, if that's one of the options you are considering.

If the Rs comes with the Delete option for the sunroof im all for it. If not I would just get Normal GT3.

Tubes that go from the headers to the environment. No cats, no mufflers... no restrictions. Straight pipes are just to direct the engine noise.
