It depends if Porsche takes a page out of Ferrari's book. Personally, I think they should have done it to the CGT.

it will be interesting to see. put the hype aside, just think there are less 996 GT2 here in the states. think about the difference between the regular GT3 & GT3 RS, at least the US version, they're really about the same.

They haven't in the past.

It was exactly the same limited version hype for the 996 GT3 and after a year the dealers were swimming in them.

Exactly correct.

It's all about the marketing, actual differences between the two are very minor in the US.
