997 GT3 on the 'Ring
997 GT3 on the 'Ring
hope this isn't a repost. from the german show "Motor" with Tim Schrick. wish i spoke german...
anyone who understands... what's he saying?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsu20_ZrxaM
and here's another in-car of a 997 GT3 on track. starts out pretty normal, but just past 1 min, the driver decides to start having some fun. are you someone on here? if you are, RESPECT! how i wish i had your car control my friend!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZYz5L53jgU
(yes, going sideways is not the fastest way around a track, but i took an introductory drifting class, and it sure as hell is FUN! and it does teach a lot about car control)

A translation of the first vid:
Tim is saying that it certainly shows that the GT3 has been tested at the ring before going into production. The car is more easy to drive fast than the 996 GT3. He likes the sound too, haha who doesn't. He went 292 km/h at the Antonius buche (the first brigde after the main straight). The car feels like a race car, and the tyres don't feel like street tyres too.
In the end he tells what value for money the GT3 is compared to the F430 and the Gallardo.
Wow, that second vid shows one of the best drifting in a GT3 I've ever seen so far!
