Can someone give me the REAL story on GT3-RS avaliability?
hahaha hot blonde, lol I didn't realize Porsche offered that option from the factory. anyway on 996GT3 if I recall correctly they built a total of like 840ish cars If my memory serves me correctly. the majority were built in 04' (the number 811 sticks out in my mind) with very few 05's, ( I remeber something like 20 or 30!) PCNA did not import any GT3's for MY03 they were ROW only. I can make a phone call and verify this tommorrow for those who must know the exact number.

i really want to know what is the allocation for the RS for PCNA... i have one RS on order and i am #5 or 6... based on 500 cars for PCNA i won't be able to get one... i read somewhere that said around 1200 cars will be build for the world... i think 60% comes to north america??? correct me if iam wrong... and only 5% of PCNA allocation will get to Canada... i am worried!!!
220 RS's for the USA is the number I have heard, but that was last February and numbers tend to change with demand at Porsche. If you are #5 or #6 on your dealer list for an RS you are not likely to get one unless they build for more than one year.
As far as GT3's go figure 500 per year or so.
Good luck getting a car.

Local dealer here said that I could expect to take delivery of the RS sometime in early September 2007, but that's still pure speculation at this point, nothing firm.

MY2004 Production: 803
MY2005 Production: 157
as far as the RS's go, my best guess would be something around 1/4 of the GT3 volume for PCNA, so something like 120-140 cars per MY of production.

608TTS,
Normally about 50% of the car Porsche produces come to USA, however many cars have never been sold here, like the RS versions of the past. So Porsche is unlikely to send 50% of the production to the USA, when they have established buyers and markets around the world. The 996 GT2 was a bust here due to price and market conditions. So they will likely send somewhere in the 200 range noted and then if they sell well send a second wave to meet demand, and as ususal a few extras to keep shareholders happy.
As of now we don't have any confirmed numbers for the GT3 or RS, so we will just have to wait and see!
