I just read the "leaked" announcement that for model year 2008 Porsche is going to introduce direct injection and LED rear lights. Does anyone think that these two items would be included on the GT3 in '08? If it is, wouldn't everyone want to wait?

 

I think you mean direct injection?

I doubt many GT3 customers would wait for LEDs; I sure wouldn't. As for direct injection, I wonder if its introduction will lag in the GT cars given their already high state of tune? Perhaps run it in the RS or RSR first?

I love the look of the LED's especially the CGT LED's, so if they're in that league, they'll look suh-weet!! DI is definitely questionable on the GT3 cars, they'll probably go with that on the Carrera to start off with. Then introduce it to the Carrera S, then finally the GT3 etc The standard Carrera seems almost anemic compared to the GT3 and Turbo's so while they wouldn't want it to outperform their creme de la creme, it's still a 70k+ Vehicle that should outperform other cars that are much less in price such as a M3.
