thanks guys for all your comments, I did some changes based on talking to a few experts and GT3 owners....

Added PCCB's as most seem to think they will help at resale value time!

As a result I changed out the dials and belts to yellow to match and got the upgraded floor mats $440 with yellow trim as well.

I added Deviation stitching to the doors, dash, seats, etc in all yellow as well as I want to keep the color theme matching.

Changed the stereo to the based stereo to save $715 since I plan on doing a custom stereo in there.

Dropped off the list so now just a few more months of waiting, how long from ordering till delivery?

PCCB's could hurt resale, its kind of a crapshoot really. The used GT3 market could attract buyers wanting to save some money, perhaps it suddenly falls into their say 80k-90k budget for sake or argument. But this same buyer might be very afraid of the cost to replace the rotors and thus go with regular brakes. Something to think about, but perhaps the best advice I can give is buy what YOU want in the car and worry about selling it later. Thats if you can part with it

You guys are really confusing me and making it hard to decide! grrrr

Let me look over my list again but the deviation stitching is a must for me now....will post a revised list after I think it over.

thanks for all the ideas! Anyone have pics of their color combos?

I'm especially interested if anyone has the Extended CF kit?

I stayed off of this thread just so you wouldn't get confused, but now that you're thoroughly confused, I'll throw in my .02.

When I spec'ed my car, I only got 5 options:

1) Midnight Blue (Wanted something different than everyone else's)
2) Upgraded stereo (No PCM, don't need Nav, just thought I may want to listen to tunes going to and from the track, probably wouldn't get it if I had to do it all over again, the engine sound is intoxicating.
3) Bi-Xenon (Must have on all new cars)
4) Floor Mats (Must have)
5) Sport Chrono (Almost Forgot)

Didn't get PCCB because of what someone else mentioned earlier, the replacement cost is out of this world, and for a car that's not strictly a track car, I don't think it's necessary. Adaptive sport seats, just adds weight, and the seats that are in the car now are plenty supportive, if you keep the alcantara. Full leather, I don't think goes with the type of car, full leather in a TT is a different animal (no pun intended). For that same reason I wouldn't have gotten a sunroof if I had a choice in the matter.

The rest of the stuff, red dials, seat belts, stiching, carbon etc, are all looks only, and I think the car's awsome already. IMHO this car is all about function and those things add no function so they don't belong.

That being said, there are three things I plan for this car (if I get around to it):

1) Clear side marker lenses (I know, I know, this is all about the looks).
2) Roll Cage (When available, added safety on track, and place to mount camera)
3) Fire Extinguisher (If you're going to track the car you should have one).

There you have it. I hope it doesn't add to your confusion, but contributes to your decision.

Cyrus

Regarding the stereo, probably would need an amp and speaker swap - not sure of the feasability of that in the 997 - but that would probably do the trick.

My gosh Duane, you just ordered EVERYTHING ON THE LIST - BALLER! You even got the EZB Extended CF package which I thought was pricey at $2900. But judging buy rour past/present cars this is the norm.

I think that is the highest MSRP I've seen so far for a GT3...hahaha - sweet!

I'm still on the fence about the PCCB's since I never thought about replacement cost down the road....hmmmm The color of my interior depends on what color my calipers so have to decide soon.

Stereo wise, no problem I own a stereo/euro tuning shop so we specialize in doing car audio work on high end cars....this is the deck I plan on using - Eclipse AVN5495. Notice the custom dash work required to get this to fit in my s2000

Also fitted one in my buddies M3...

Marc are you ordering another one? The self dimming mirrors are a must for me. As far as Nav we might be opening up another office in NC so I want to have it for that reason but still thinking of deleting it. As far as the lip I am used to driving a slammed TT with the Techart type 2 nose, nothing could be worse than that.

Just don't put a couple of 15" woofers in the back with a custom enclosure. I'll be forced to come down there and straighten you out. :-)Seriously, All I would get is the Chrono, heated seats and adaptive seats and bixenons. The rest (carbon and stitching) is just fluff.
