Any idea what is going on with the carpet in this picture?



Roll cage uninstall? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Some rollbars such as DAS require the carpet to be cut for install, that would be my guess on this car.

It was cut for a roll cage according to the seller. Formula, Im not referring to the vaccumm marks, it is torn on both sides.

GT-3 Carpeting

Justin is correct, either a DAS roll bar or Brey-Kraus harness bar was installed. Both of these mounts to the rear shock mounts which are under ther rear carpeting and the slits are made to clear the bar's mount.

I see the tears but the pattern was left from being cleaned with an extractor.

Just as you where told, behind the carpet glued to foam rubber there was a roll bar that bolted to the top of the rear shock towers. Depending on marks on the floor pan - seat belt connection area, that may give you a better idea how they mounted the lower part of the bar. Are you trying to figure if the car has been tracked?
