icon,
The few dealers that were lucky enough to get more that 1 or 2, ordered additional RS's to be sold to the highest bidder. I believe the lucky buyers at the very top of the waiting list and put down a deposit were locked into a specific price, probably somewhere around MSRP. The dealers really did not know how rare or how many they would get until very late in 2006. Yes, you would think that if you had a waiting list longer than the number of RS's available then you were able to supply a couple more customers with the extra allotment that would be sweet. Not so, the extra RS's are offered to person that offers the most money. Your place in line in with regards to the original number of units available does not matter. BTW, these dealer spec'd units are highly optioned to increase the already crazy profit.
That's business!

The RS ,though primarily a race car, has not set track times on fire.
I can tell you first hand because I own both cars. Took the GT3RS out for the first time and my TT is not even in the same league when it comes to road feel and handling. The TT is more comfotable to drive and is faster in a straight line however I really enjoy driveing the RS more!!! The RS would eat up the TT in the turns. I am hoping to take the cars to the track next month and really see what they can do!They are both incredible autos!!!!
