I am trying to decide what to get for my GT3 and any opinion would be greatly appreciated. Will get my Cobra Misano carbon composit seats early next week but would like to take out another 50 pounds or so. Has anyone seen any dyno data on the bypass pipe or the Fabspped or the Europipe??? Would the bypass pipe make any significant gains of HP, say 5 or so?

On any garden variety 996 the Maxflow mufflers are +7hp to +10HP on modified 996 cars. The muffler bypass pipes add another +5hp ontop of that. On your GT3 you should see even more as that engine is moving even more air.

We have made catbypass pipes, Muffler bypass pipes, and MAXFLO highperformnace mufflers. AS soon as the Esat Coast weather is better...............we will by VIDEOing and DYNOing a Speedyellow GT3 and generating data.

Fabspeed has supplied sevral Grand AM raceteams with parts for their SGS (GT3 CUP) & GS cars (stock USA spec 996 cars). These teams welded and fabricated their own stuff and reported that they gained +20HP on the GT3 and +17HP on the stock 996 without catalytic converters. Given that most of you want or need cats (or can do without) you will gain depending on emissions NEEDS from +7HP up to +20HP . This is a good range for added power and simple BOLT-ON bolt-off installation at a moderate price point and no effect on warranty.

We are shipping GT3 Maxflo mufflers and we are shipping GT3 muffler bypass pipes (save over 50Lbs off the rear of any 996/ GT3 best area to save weight too).

That's the 95 db noise limit, right? Many local clubs here in CA enforce this limit as I just ran into this past weekend, the Solo2 event out in California Speedway turned away a Mazda RX7 due to open exhaust.

 

Our 996/GT3 muffler bypass pipes are very aggressive and loud. As far as passing Laguna Seca or Lime Rock Park...........all I can tell you is any 996 will sound like a 996 CUP car with our muffler bypass pipes. SO if a 996 CUP car passes any racetrack noise limit-regulation (you can often find CUP car owners or shops that service customers cars and they can often answer these questions) THEN you should be able to pass the DB noise limit.

However- if you dont pass just slap on 996/GT3 mufflers which take about 30 minutes and you have a good backup plan.
