Confirmed 997 GT2 will have Titanium Exhaust Systems

You forgot to mention that they'll only be making a very limited number of them, and no doubt quite a few of those will be found on the secondary market at a "market adjusted" price. Unless of course the price is too high, the performance is barely superior to the 996 GT2; in which case it will die a horrible death, and I'll never be able to buy a new 998 GT2.
Thanks dude, way to crush my dreams...

But if the average price for this car comes in around 270k, which it'll probably be more like 230k, it had better perform.
Zeus,
I understand what your saying!
My bet is that it will have a MSRP around the $220-230K area, like you said.
I just don't want people to fall into the current marketing practice of teasing the public with loads of info, spy pictures and other garbage......like they did with the "RS". Then when its actually released......guess what, its not really all that special! So Porsche will keep the production numbers low and people will think, "hey I better buy one before they stop making it". This results in the dealers putting hefty markups on the car because of "supply and demand".
Yeah, it will have around 530hp......so it should be faster than the GT2 MKII and current 997tt (but your top performance manufacturers already have or will have these HP numbers or higher by the time this is released)......its still a little heavy at 3100lbs, and that not the US weight! It will not have PDK or direct injection for 2008. Its just a 997TT with 50 more HP (nothing special about 50 more horses with this engine) and no front diff (the reason for some of the weight reduction) for $100K above the price of the AWD 997TT. I really hope I'm wrong!
But hey..................."keep hope alive"

i agree with what ur saying but i can garauntee that it will lap the ring faster than the rs, and in a straight line it will demolish a turbo......the pdk dsg is all crap in my opinion, i think it takes the fun out of a track car...... when it comes down to it the 997 gt2 is gonna be a beast, just like how the 996 gt2 was...... its funny how 996tt owners drive the new 997tt and say that it is a completely different and more amzing beast, the 996 gt2 owners are gonna feel the same...... but i have to agree with u about the pricing, and 3100 pounds is a lil pigish also

Also the new gt2 (the Beast) is going to have 2 different antispins.. one for traction control and one for psm... on and off. Turn both buttons off and nothing will be able to help you anymore... it will be You The car the road and the god...

the sounds is... how do I describe it... its sort of a "thinner" or "tinny" sound... that turns into a rasp at higher RPM's. the tips of the Ti exhausts also turn this bluish-purplish color as they get older (from the heat). its either "ricey"/a gimmick OR a badge of honor, depending on how you look at it.
but damn those things are LIGHT! try lifting a Ti exhaust vs a regular exhaust, and the difference is startling!
