Its been a while since I posted an update about our Speed GT program this year.

Here are a few pictures from the races and a brief re-cap

Sebring
We did well with a new car that hadn't really been tested and finished 5th.

Long beach
We would have liked to finish better but braking issue's plagued us all weekend long. Having finished 5th last year we would have been happy with the same finish but we ended up 9th after all was said and done.

Utah
Brake issue sorted out car was running good and we felt we had a good car for the race. As racing luck would have it a 12 dollar part for the shift selector fails and the car wont shift into gear... We end up in the top 20 but no where near where we want to be.
The car is better and we are feeling and we are learning a ton about the 997.

Charlotte with Nascar.
The car is great! James actually has the 4th fastest time during the last 2 minutes of qualifying but since it is the last lap of qualifying his time is incorrectly recorded and he is not scored and ends up having to start further back in the field.
In the opening laps as James is charging to the front he has some help( corvette) and ends up in the tire wall with minor damage to the car ( just some panels) and is forced to retire..

Needles to say it hasnt been the year we were hoping for with the new 997WCGT3- Cup. Since Porsche has won the championship last year the cars have been heavily restricted and it has been a struggle with the highpowered cars. But thats racing ..


LimeRock Speed Touring Car.

GMG/Tecmark finish 2nd in the E46 touring car at Lime Rock Park Ct.
James has an awesome race and finishes ahead of the Mazda and Acura's but behind the AWD Audi A4 in a car that was originally built in 2004.

So thats a little re-cap
