Another cup car, my '08 came in a few weeks ago, flew down to ATL to have some fun last week. It needs paint and sponsors (hint!)

Hey Denis GTPro I see the pic of the car but what about that car makes it an RSR reproduction?
I must apologize but I do not think those wheels work for an RSR.
Do not mean to be negative but an RSR design should a ***** out race car look. I remember member Grussell had undergone an RSR conversion of his GT3. It appeared to be a massive undertaking, hugh $$$.

Anyway would like to see more. My GT3 has undergone several Cup car mods internally and engine performance mods.

Again would like to see more and IMO put some racing wheels on.

Peace, GT3Ranger...Juan

Hey Juan your car looks awesome. You should bring it out to the track and have some serious fun with it. PCA, PBOC and NASA have track events at our local tracks, (Sebring, Morosso, Homestead and now Daytona) practically every month.
In the past we have had several real RSR’s show up at these track events. They run BBS and Fikse 18” diameter center lock racing wheels, with much wider wheel widths, like 11” fronts and 13” rears and serious slicks.

Hey Manny we've got to meet. My work really keeps me very occupied but I need to make more effort. I raced SCCA and IMSA all through the 90's and I need to get back.
I plan to stop by this Sunday at Moroso for the PCA DE. I could not register on time but would like to go by to meet people and talk.
I also been meaning to join Chin Motorsport and NASA. Ms. Nix remembered me from the old days in the Safe group.
The GT3 project is coming along. Will plan for the GIAC software that 's newly out and just talked to Fabryce at GMG for a set of Motons and the best track set up for best springs. Did you see the thread about the GT3 dyno results?

Lately the modding focus has been on the E60 M5. ASR Engineering are great and we're trying to get that bad boy to break into the high 10's in the 1/4 mile. It's hard to put the 581 rwhp on the ground and keep traction.

Anyway maybe I'll see you Sunday.

Happy New Year,
Juan

Hey snowboarder54 what happened to your car?
That imagine is still fresh in my mind when the crank pulley in my GT3 came loose and the car drastically overheated. They told me this has happened to a few Porsches but I've never heard from anyone w/ this problem.

Ranger, When the pulley backed off it screwed up the the treads inside the end of the crank. They are doing a complete tear-down of the motor to inspect the crank and more than likely replace it. I feel fortunate that they have a tech who has a history of assembling motors at Weissach. I'm sure it will be several weeks before I have my car back. I will keep everyone up to speed on the result.

I'm guessing that I may be the only member here who has spent the night in their GT3 over looking the Pacific Ocean!!
