At first, I was going have to short shift which cost me about 1/2 second maybe, but thanks to my pitt guy - we made it work by finding the nearest home depot, and adding some pipes. By the end of the weekend after phone calls to porsche motorsports, i found out a nice little trick which requires one disconnection next time around Laguna. yeah!

There's the Carlsen mod, bypass vacuum line keeping the muffler valves shut.
100$ and done in 15 minutes, a no brainer if you want to enjoy Laguna in a GT3.

does that mean you have to pay a visit to the dealer again to get the valves to open up again? or perhaps just unplug the pink connector in the back to get that awesome sound back.

Snowboarder,

Wow. I was one of the fellows who benefitted from your kindness to Pete on his last trip up there. I've driven your car! (That's not something a guy gets to inform a GT3 owner all that time, now is it?) It's wonderful. You and I have much of the same tastes too. It's a dreamworld you have up there. We even both stock up on spoiler lips and hang them from the garage door tracks! HA!

Your car was wonderful, and we took incredible care of it, I promise. Pete's so professional.

Well, since I've seen yours, I think it's only fair to show you mine. I'll post here, even though it's not a GT car (but it looks like it, so I reason that it's ok). No one flame me, please.

I have an AMAZING pic of my car and yours, but was asked not to post until the article comes out. SOooo, I'm posting one that little ol' me took. Totally inferior.

Hey Jared,

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and the car. Sorry I wasn't here to show you guys around. You are absolutly correct about Pete, there is no questioning his professionalisim or integrity, that's why he is one of the few people who knows where the keys to both the house and car are stashed.

I've been told we both share the same driving style and similiar roads as well. I also have the pix of our cars together and a few others. Great photos and your car is fantastic and I understand very, very quick!!

Give me a shout the next time you are in the area.

Ralph

Ralph,

You were told that you and I have similar driving style or you and Pete do? Those roads are AMAZING. I'm sworn to secrecy, so you're protected!

Yeah, I get to drive some awesome roads here in the Appalachian Mountains too, but they aren't as abundant as yours... and those pics are AMAZING. Your car looked so good with the morning sun hitting it with the cliffs down to the ocean in the background. That silver with those HREs is wonderful.

I have a video system in my car. Just got it before I came out to Cali. So, I'm driving these amazing roads, push the button until the LED turns green. I'm happy. Here we are in car-guy-heaven, and I'm videoing it all! I get back home to NC and plug in the video card so I can relive all of the fun... all I get is snippets. Useless snippets. Pulling into gas stations and such...

I'm an idiot! With camcorders, RED means recording, not GREEN! I was so pissed. Still am. I could have sent you some really awesome video.

Oh well. I appreciate the offer. Next time I'm out there, I'll definitely give you a PM.

Take care,

Jared

Not the most scenic of new shots, but here is my recent GT3 acquisition. Am I seeing double? lol

Nice group of pictures. It seems to me the only other threads that get to be as long as a good pic thread are the ones about gtr’s.
