IMHO way to pricy for what you get...just spend 1500-1800 on a Alpinestars GP Tech suit and youll have one of the best and lightest suits in the biz...

You can also get much better looking helmets that are more comfortable for way less than that...like an Arai GP5...

hawke is infamous around these parts
It all depends on what kind of quality you are looking for. Porsche has an exclusive contract with Stand 21, because their quality and proven protection as well as driver comfort is simply unequalled. Porsche does not mess around with inferior brands and Stand 21 is the only company with such a license from Porsche, and that should tell you something.
Stand 21 has been around since 1970 and drivers equiped by them have won countless championships in all kinds of disciplines, from F1 to club racing. They are also the only company that has really proven their stuff medically (you should check their catalogue under "heat stress") and they have the support of all the top medics in auto racing, from Dr. Terry Trammell to GM's John Melvin.
Also the Stand 21 helmet has consistently over-performed ALL others at the Snell foundation testing, and this since 1992. I know because I have seen the figures.
I used to be in this business and have handled all the top lines and let me tell you, nothing approaches their stuff and it is well worth the extra money.
They also manufacture most of the HANS devices sold on the planet including a good part of the ones sold by HANS in the USA.
Again, the quality and lighter weight of their HANS devices exceeds that of the American and German units by a mile.
