I think they thermal coat which is slightly different than powder coat. After thermal coating, it is not supposed to give off any heat. It's still black so the difference is probably moot.

Gentlemen I beg to differ. If you want noise, sure then go for it but if you want REAL power gains and a GREAT exhaust note you go for FVD headers and exhaust system. I know none of you give a **** about the FVD system but you've screwed up not considering and researching the FVD headers. Who can claim 40 rwhp and 45 rwtorque gains in 3000 to 5000 rpm range!!!! I've been reading the BS on this forum about other components but I have to speak out about a great product that NOBODY has given any cosideration to and you lose for not considering it or at lease consider it!! You know what, **** me, stay fat happy and stupid with what you have.

Wowo.. GT3 Ranger.. Now that is what I call backing up a product!!!

I am sure that FVD makes a great system.. No doubt in my mind at all.

But, I dont think anyone who has purchased our system was under the impression that it did make some radical claimed power gains.

Those who purchased our GMG WC Sport Center Section wanted a great looking and sounding system which didnt void factory warranties the sport button and flaps also remain fully functional and it is fully emissions compliant. In addition, an added bonus is that our system saves16-20 lbs over the factory center muffler..(we found some factory mufflers weigh more than others)

If someone is looking for a complete system their are a few respectable companies offering complete systems. We sell and install those too What we offer with our system is completely different than what a complete systems offers in design, function and price.

It's great to see that as enthusiast you are all so passionate about the companies and brands you choose to use and support..

So, how do you like the set up on your car? Did you get the full system or just some of the components?

We are always interested in adding a quality product to our line up.

We have our next batch of systems being finished the week of the 22nd.
We will be shipping everyones order that week. If you ordered a system that is being mirror polished or thermal coated black please add 3-4 before we can ship.

Thanks again for all your support. The feedback has been great,

Fabryce first allow me to apologize for the delivery of my statement. When I read that this is the greatest and thats the greatest and the full spectrum of products has not been evaluated it gets to me. The FVD header system is superb but nobody has given it not only any consideration but even disrespect. Concerning weight, it saves exactly 39 lbs. by eliminating the side mufflers and taking into account the weight of the new headers. The gains are significant in the mid-range as stated. My 997 GT3 dynoed stock at 360 rwhp and with FVD headers pulled peak 386rwhp. Mid-range (3000 to 5000 rpm) there was 40rwhp and 45 ft/lbs rw torque compared to stock. The sound is extrodinary. All this means nothing to members of this forum. I see people belong to tight clicks in this forum and someone like me is an outside a**hole. Others do not wish to open their minds to products outside of clickish mentality. I have lots of things planned for the GT3 with Porsche Motorsport/Champion Motorsport but this is it for me and 6speed. I will no longer post or contribute again. Good luck to you and your products. That is pretty pathetic IMO. Your leaving because people are flocking to the hottest thing going (for whatever reason it may be)??? As if that doesnt happen often.

If this thread is the reason your leaving, sounds like tantrum to me, and while we are airing feelings that gets to me.

I didnt take your post in a negative manner by any means. I realize thats its hard to convey emotion in a post.. If you post on this forum than you are considered family. We may not always agree but I know we have enough respect for each other that we can all "agree to disagree".

If anything dont give up on the forum. Its not a matter of being clickish. I think that I am pretty fair and I dont think I have any sort of click following myself GMG or our products. We have loyal customers and fans who follow our racing program but its certainly no click...
Personally, I call it the way I see it. And thats all I ask of anyone who I do business with. No need to sugar coat anything.

I personally (and other members on the board) appreciate you sharing your experiances with your FVD system. I will look to FVD and perhaps offer the system to my customers who are in need of a complete exhaust.

As always, many thanks to you all for sharing your experiances.

Fabryce I am angry with myself for responding BUT I live in Miami and I think we have a common acquiantance or friend. I am very good friends with Ben at Wheels Botique. Ask him about my GT3 and how the car sounds and the power felt with the drive. I would always recognize and admit whatever is good for our cars, whomevers product it is. Good is good but comments are made as definitive without all the facts. I am sorry for responding, but the forum will never here from me again. To bad because I was going to post the dyno results after I got the dymags on the GT3.

I am just curious to know why Porsche engineers didn't equip the GT3 with such headers straight from the factory? It would seem that Porsche has the necessary resources to fabricate headers, software and exhaust to produce those numbers, unless they are restricting power for some odd reason.

The engineers at BMW M division particularly squeezed out every single ounce of power from the 3.2 liter engine so why would Porsche hold back? I am under the impression that FVD or any other After market company has access to more sophisticated and modern equipment allowing for bigger hp? I can understand people changing the exhaust and headers for sound but not so much for HP.

I would love to see some dyno graphs.

Hey Ranger,

Not sure why all this pissed you off. Yes, you are a brave one in that you decided to do your own route and fortunately you've had successful results. I know it frustrates you that your system is proven to have lots of HP gains and no one listens, but it's really more than that. It comes down to other factors such as price, factory warranty, sound, etc... So I'm trying to understand why this would cause you to abandon this community. I personally wish you wouldn't as your car gave me a lot of inspiration for future mods.

It's kind of confusing isn't it, I'm not sure why this thread seems to upset him so much... I know he has done some cool mods to his car.

GT3Ranger,
Don't take anyones opinion here personally. I am very curious as to the results you get with the dymags. I am planning on a set and value what you find.

I was interested in hearing about the FVD headers. I don't plan on changing that much of the system, but I respect the product.

I understand his frustration, though. It's common for threads to get a lot of responses, and to post something like "headers" and "power" and get luke-warm results is pretty weird.

The Cargraphic system thread was a hit (even before the videos), the FVD's was a flop.. why? Truthfully, I'd be saying ''..wtf??'' too if it were my thread. However, I don't think I'd leave the forum over it.

But, people get their horns twisted over different things, so what can you do? Sorry to see him go.. maybe he'll reconsider leaving.
