Tire durability

How many miles are most people seeing out of their tires by street driving.

Depends on the tires...Michelin Pilot Sports 12-15k from what I've seen from most people (including a few track days). Sport Cups 5k.

Yes, that's what I'm hearing. It'd be interesting to see what kind of mileage the other's are getting for a little comparo? Pirelli's, Bridgestones, Nitto's?

MPSC's 3600 miles rear 6000 fronts. I tried to get 4000 out of the rears but ended up showing cords on the insides. I must add that we don't have streets where I live only roads and I do have a very heavy right foot.
12,000 miles and on my third set of fronts and my 5th set of rears. They know me by my first name at The Tire Rack.

Sounds about right. 12k rear, front every other set of rears.

16,000 km or 10,000 miles on the Pirellis so far. Still fairly good thread. Guys at Porsche give me another 4 or 5,000 km.

I will try the MPSCs after that, just to feel the difference.

1 flat rear and 1 flat front has resulted in 6 tires in 6 weeks. ;-)

I'm guessing 5000 miles for the rears. Probably replace the fronts every other rear set, but I don't know if the fronts will last 10,000 miles.

Going to PS2's for the street and hope to get about 12k from them.
