Without clothes and a helmet she would probably just float right out of that car.

She maybe what she is ... whatever but she came across as totally clueless concerning the intrinsic characteristics of the 997GT3 RS. She had not a single of any substance about the car. As others have said it is apparent she's never had a 911. This was a worthless review. They should have used Tony Kanaan. I know him and I know he has a 997 GT3.

A lot goes into being a pro driver and to remain at that level.

It's a double edged sword as the focus is ON Patrick because she is a girl. Look at all the other male drivers in IRL that don't bring home the results that she does. You could also argue they don't belong as they have never won a race or championship.

No offense man, but you have no idea who Leh is... Ive never met him, but I know of him... http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...d.php?t=371531 ... Danica is good... but she got second this weekend (her best finish ever) because the other leaders crashed at the end of the race. My money would be on Leh in equal cars at Road Atl.

some F1 drivers (best drivers in the world IMO) were asked about danica, most didnt know who she was and schumi said if she was truly as good as the media claims she would be in F1

Everyone is entitled to their opinion as you say, and I will state mine on your post. From my experience, those who are publicized the way Dani Patrick is and for those reasons are simply NOT the best drivers in the field...in fact, many of them are not near the best and would not be where they were without the media backing they have. That said, in no way, shape or form am I saying shes a BAD DRIVER...just that for the amount of attn and advert. deals she gets, she, quite frankly, should be of a level that she does not touch...Also, to clarify...the best drivers arent neccessarily the ones winning the races (though they often do collide)...they are the ones that have a feeling for the car and a sense of control that is one degree below godliness and whether or not they win, always, and I mean ALWAYS put on a spectacular display of driving...solute to the great A. Senna

This is what a real driver should be thinking about...not media deals...

there was something so pure about that man...and when I say 1 degree from godliness as far as racing is concerned...I really mean it...that man had so much drive and passion. He will ALWAYS be missed...

indeed. my friend was in brazil when he died. he said the whole country pretty much shut down and was in mourning for a long time thereafter

i read a quote from him he gave in an interview stating that sometimes he would get so immersed in the experience that his subconcious mind would pilot the car and to him it seemed like he was just driving through a tunnel of armco! i was astonished to read that!

Patrick is in a good car for the 1st year in her pro career with Andretti Green. Her cars in the past have been pretty much crap.

I've seen her race since her karting days and she was always a top notch driver from early on. No one gave her the respect she deserved, but she earned it on track.

Once again, no offense to Leh, but I'd put my money on Patrick in equal cars aside from their respective cars.

Regarding the Schumacher and Senna comments, I'm not saying she's on the level of an F1 driver, let alone legends, both living and dead, but I'm sure she spends countless hours honing her skills day in and day out as we all do in our day jobs.

Regarding the media deals... well, that's just part of what all drivers go through these days from NASCAR to F1. There is no getting around it with sponsor commitments, etc.

Hey thanks, I miss you too....(my screen name)

Seriously miss him here, he was my hero in and out of the race car.
How many championships would Schumacher have with Senna in his prime?

Back on topic, Danica's responses reminded me of this quote from Billy Madison.

"Mr. Madison, what you just said is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point in you incoherent rambling response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. We are all now dumber for having had listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul!!"
