GT3RS vs. GT3RS
996 had the better driver, but was interesting to see not much difference in acceleration on the straights -- when both cars are equal, lead car pulls slightly off the corner as he gets on the gas first -- when you factor in the better 996 driver, both seem to accelerate the same.

I have found the best way to catch someone on the track is to ignore them completely and drive and fast and clean as you can. Whenever I am "trying " to catch someone I alway make it more difficult on myself.
I wonder how long it took the 996 RS to put 2-3 turns in between the two cars. Drivers rule, the 997 RS guy seemed determined to be faster based on generation model car, he forgot the skill part.
If I thought the guy behind was going to make an attempt at passing, I'd just make my car a little wider than usual or I'd be a bit unpredictable in terms of what line I'd take through random corners to keep the person second guessing. Now that I do mostly track days for fun, it's interesting to see the difference between a race line and a fun trackday line.
