Everyone will have different opinions.. I remember a year or two ago people were saying not to buy HRE rims because they fell apart on some car during a track day..that obviously did not stop people from dropping big bucks on HRE's

I love I forged. I have never heard of anyone or seen any personally have bad experience with that company either.

 

i got i forged wheels on both my cars and i love them!

 

You want to know something funny. That guy with the Viper that wrote that just sold his wheels/tires after having them on his car for over a year. People like to talk...

 

it seems to me in many car communities especially BMW, that it's not the Iforged wheels that are bad but rather the customer service and the character of the owner, Vincent Wong.

 

First it was HRE, then Rota, now I Forged...always a new story...

 

o yea, hes a member on this board doin the 996 conversion to 997 techart gt street

 

How can you even toss ROTA in with that group.

That is like someone claiming to have a Ferrari yet built it from a kit using a Pontiac Fiero! lol

 

My iForged rims were built/delivered about a month ago. I had a little apprehension as a result of some of the bad PR the company seems to have garnered.

I had my wheel guy spin them before mounting and they were spot on - light and true.

My experience (at least so far! ) has been good as they had the exact look I was after.

Really? haha Go figure...someone maybe trying to get a free set of HRE's out of the ordeal or something?

 

I HAVE had 6 sets of hre's and have never had a issue! If i remember correctly the wheel the cracked from the center on a pca event was a kinesis.... At my buddies wheel shop i see people that order i-forged and come back a couple months later with the wheel flaking (clearcoat,or chrome) and then eventually order HRE's.Im not trying to get a free set either,but the truth is the truth.

 

i guess set of big brown leather boxed AICONA wheels will do me good.

 

seen that in the magazine, what a waste of money on their end

 

Correct they ended up actually being Kinesis!
