Lambo to offer Gallardo in AWD and RWD
A new report suggests that the updated Gallardo will be called the Gallardo LP560-4.

The 560 represents the metric power rating of 560 PS and the 4 represents 4WD / AWD.
By naming it the Gallardo LP560-4, this report suggests that Lambo wants people to know that the regular Gallardo has AWD.
This opens the door for Lambo to release a new model with RWD. Perhaps a SLIGHTLY more affordable Gallardo V8 with RWD, which won't have the number 4.
Either way, a more powerful Gallardo LP560-4 with AWD and a Gallardo with RWD sound great!

I've always wished they'd make a RWD Gallardo... that's the winning combo, imo.
As for a V8 Gallardo... I just don't see it. R8 is the logical car below the Gallardo. The R8 will get the V10 with lower HP, and the Gallardo will get a higher power V10 to set itself apart.

I highly doubt it would be cheaper, manufacturers seem to charge when the remove stuff for lightweight versions.
