G-Spyder Engine Cover

hey guys, after looking for it in search i couldnt find anything. But i was wondering how do you open up the engine cover for the gallardo spyder? i know theres no latch or anything but is there any little tricks to open it, other than when you put the top down or up? and how do the service guys change the oil when you cant even get to the engine?

According to Motor Trend.
During the process, the rear hatch only opens to about 45 degrees, not enough to gain access to the engine bay, should you want to--well, I'm not sure what Gallardo owners do in the engine bay. Look at the engine? Check the oil? That's probably about all the company would tolerate. With the hatch open, there's a loop on the end of a wire latch near the taillights you can pull to open the hatch completely.

ahhhh, thanks alot, i needed to know this because im detailing my brothers gallardo spyder on monday and he wanted the engine cleaned. this sorta reminds me of the mercedes hoods, if you want to open them up 90 degrees you have to push some tabs on the hinges.

You are not going to get a lot of access to the engine..not as much as the non spyders have due to the top taking up part of the access...
