Quote: Like Dave said before, its basically impossible to have engine sound clips with the camera out the window like that. Without an external microphone that is. The sound of the wind over the mic will be the only thing audible and makes for crap video. I agree, it would definitely be better though.

Dave, Seth has a helmet cam that he uses for snowboarding that we can easily use on your car. I have used it on my and it worked well. That would let us keep the camera in the car for sound clips.
you are right. you almost have to get a camera that has remote audio mic capability where you can string a mic into an area where there is little wind but plenty of engine noise.

I figured the lambo was but after some searching on streetfire it seems the Ferrari usually is faster.

Off topic but I have to ask though, why TWO Cayennes?

I'm sure you will...the car is getting its Police Avoidance System installed right now while I'm in Oahu, but it will be rolling around here shortly.

Hard to say...they are really really close in a 0-60 or 0-100 type run. Track times are usually pretty close as well -
1/4 mile times I have seen within .4 of each other, 0-60 times are all over the place but basically have them both in the 3.8-4sec region.
Pretty comparable as far as those specs. there is definitely a different feel to them though, and with the lighter weight I would bet in the hands of the right driver that the 430 may take the win.

Anybody got nurburgring times for each for 08?

I have buddies that have driven both on tracks and they explained to me that for an experienced track driver, the 430 will be quicker, however, the gallardo is a much more neutral car and in the hands of a novice it is faster due to it's more forgiving nature, which is the first lambo you can say this of.
