Lamborghini Gallardo Plunges Off 250 Foot Cliff onto Golf Course

Last month, a $300,000 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 was being driven at high speed around a twisty road encircling a golf course in Marbella, Spain. We're told the 28 year old driver was warned several times to slow down and almost ran over a pedestrian shortly before losing control and plunging off a 250 foot cliff.
In what can only be described as a scene from an action movie, the passenger jumped out of the car in mid-air. That decision probably saved his life since the Gallardo crashed roof first onto the golf course, killing the driver instantly. The passenger was seriously injured.

You can see the Gallardo created a huge divot on impact (left) before tumbling down the rest of the cliff (right). The sound of the impact must have been incredible, especially when you consider how quiet golf courses usually are

Sad to hear about the fatality

The hood looks like a spyder hood but there is no LP560-4 spyder out yet, I could be wrong that it was a spyder or maybe they were wrong that it was a LP560-4

 

how the heck would the passenger jump out mid air? more like thrown out maybe. RIP to the driver. 28 yo are just not mature enough in most cases. rich daddy is going to regret it now. hope this be a lesson for us all not to get overconfident.

 

That is insane and may the driver RIP. I also want to know how the passenger managed to jump out.

Sounds like the Darwin award won for the driver. Hope the passenger is fine and glad noone else got hurt.

I've been in Marbella plenty of times and that place is full of young guys whose parents have bought them an expensive car. This is not the first time that something similar occurs.

Two years ago a 19-year-old and his GF died close to this place. The guy was driving a Porsche 911 996 GT3.
