In the market to trade in my Aston V8V for a 07-8 Lamb Gallardo

Any information would be helpful regarding maintenance and cost of ownership and how this may compare against an V8V

What features to look for?
Ownership costs?
Manual?
Upgrades/Extra?
Things to avoid?

 

If you can...go for 08 with the Bosch throttle bodies, 6 speed manual, car with normal mileage and good service records. Get a PPI done by someone who really knows what to look for in Lambos...oil leaks, leaking front shocks, brake pads, etc... 6 speed manual will make life much easier if you can find it. The rest of the options are all up to taste. I had an 05 G for 4 years, 6 speed manual, never a hiccup other then regular oil, filter changes.

 

Thanks, any idea for a going rate in canada? Does it make sense to go with a US car?

 

Doesnt seem to matter..US or Canadian..some Canadian dealers will not touch a US car but whatever...if its out of warranty you have a million options to get parts. I paid $275 for the PPI..use a good independent if you can....dealers techs are usually nowhere near as good as an older indi whos been working on these cars for a few years

 

Oh, that I understand.

I mean the price of a lambo- curious to know what options are must have vs nice to have considering re-sale value.

When I got my aston I looked for things liked premium audio, bluetooth, navigation, and the upgraded leather seats etc.
