hi
i have a 04 gallardo, i noticed that the boot, ( above the front contorl arm), that connects to the front wheel, (im not sure if it is a tie rod?), is cracked!
anyone knows what part that is? do i need the whole tie rod? any help would be great

It could be the tie rod or axle boot. Can you post up a picture?

That's your steering rack boot.

 

I know some of the earlier Gallardo's had some type of power steering recall... Maybe call the dealer with your vin?
