It's a cool car, but not much of a comparison. My uncle testdrove both a Gallardo and an F430, chose the F430 and did not even look back.

ANd my uncle can beat up your uncle. I know several people who purchased Gallardos, while having deposits on both 430 coupes and Spiders, and then either cancelled the orders or just sold the 430's. The 430 is not even close inmo.

the gallardo just isn't in the 430's league. not for looks anyway. not a Murci to 430 comparison would be more appropriate.

the gcar is cool. but the 430 is dead sexy. and i don't usually say goofy **** about cars like that. give the gcar some scissor doors and that would definatley up it's cool factor.

 

Compare a 430 to a Murci?

430 is horrible inmo. Just this past weekend i was in Jersey at a Poker run event. There were 360's, 430's as well as several Gcars, Murcis. The Murci is in a league of its own, and the Gallardo owns the 360/430. I hate the 360, and the 430 looks like a riced out 360 that sounds worse. The 430 there was a red Spider. I tried to get myself to like it, get excited about, and nothing. There is honestly not one nice thing i can say about the 430. Id rather own a 2001 Bone stock 996TT in pink.

 

let's face it allan. you pretty much hate everything besides lambos. you have a track record for badmouthing everything but your own cars.

i can at least say the lambos are nice. i think a lot of people would disagree with you about the ferrari sound.

they are both great cars, but at least in my opinion, the 430 spyder (talking ragtops) here, is a lot better looking than the G ride. can't comment on performance as i've never driven either. the 430 looks sculpted, where the Gride looks like they cut the roof off. Ahh, to each his own.

Not true. As an example I had a 355 Spider, it was my car, and i said id take a 996TT over it anyday.

The story on the 430 is, that my buddy, Alex at SP just bought one, and he really likes it. My wife loves the Gallardo, but doesnt want it, because she knows that if she gets it, i will start modding it. If she gets the 430, i wont touch it. So, we actually contacted her uncle who gets these cars all the time, and asked if we could a 430 coupe. He said he could get us one, and we agreed. So i went with the intention of hoping to like these cars.

As for the looks of both the G and 430, i will tell you, watching people on the road, they drive right past the 430's 360's to stare and take pics of the Gallardos. If looks are what you care about, the Fcar is not even close.

As for the Gallardo not being in my garage, i move to Az in 2 weeks, and guess whats coming?

 

One of the styling issues I don't like about G is the shortness of the rear. Spyder looks great and makes the G look longer in the back.
