sold my Gallardo

I sold my Gallardo, and found out that for the 6 months that I owned it, it was fitted with a racing suspension. No wonder it was as comfortable as a park bench. I could not find out anything about the 'mod' from service records or VIN search. It is an early '04 6 speed with VIN ending #110. I have to admit, it was sure fun on the track. It's depreciation was the most impressive statistic however. I could have leased a gulfstream for less $ per mile. I'd like to get another, but probably E-Gear with stock suspension and exhaust this time. I'm driving a gap car until the spyder comes out..

since you brought up depreciation... do you mind telling me how long you had the car/miles and how much you ended up losing out on depreciation and repair costs overall?
From my research it seems a Gallardo would cost less to own in the end than a new GT2.

RE depreciation

The G depreciated about $20k. But in all fairness, I'm not comparing retail to retail, since I bought the car from a broker, and sold it to a dealer - so I probably got hit from both sides. I don't think the car itself actually depreciated all that much, if at all.

Also, I really like the DB-9 for driving around every day. It is the first "GT" type car I have had in a long while after Porsche 996TT and the Gallardo. The Aston still has pretty nice handling and power for a big car - lots of torque.
