as titled, how often do you guys visit the dealership for service or tune up?
and what about the cost?

The more "moderne" cars don't need a heck of a lot of service. I drive hard and am on a slightly more agressive fluid maintenance schedule.

With 7500 miles on my last Gallardo (MY 2004) my total maintenance costs were about $2250 which included 2 rear tires and the prescribed services at 1800 and 7500 miles. That car also got a new clutch at 6000 miles which was covered under warranty.

My current Gallardo SE (MY 2006), with 6500 miles was a bit more because I wore 4 tires. That was about $2800 and included a few oil services, the prescribed 1800 mile service and a front differential service. After an extended stint at speeds greater than 190 we decided to service the front diff -- which is a known weak spot in the Gallardo.

 

Lambos seem to cost less to maintain than Ferraris.
Can anyone chime more in?

 

Naturally an Audi based product will be more reliable/user friendly then a Ferrari. Ferrari is notorious for good looks and high maintence.

Lambo is the wife you use daily and enjoy and Ferrari is the high maintenance gold digging girlfriend that looks hot but needs a hundred each time you wanna hug.
