where the gallardo going? NOWHERE! very impressive for the m5 because its down on hp and it weighs more.

 

that actually makes the gallardo look like ****. You have a 160k sports car and a stock 90k 4 door sedan keeps up with you all the way till the end? This puts huge points up for the m5.

 

I totally agree with you. why pay 175K for a gallardo when you can do it with an m5. if you like 2 doors, m6. i happen to think the performance of the m5 and m6 is great, and that of the gallardo is a little dissapointing, but it looks so much better than any bmw. the only cars i would say are better looking are Porsches.

As for the Gallardo, why does it look like he started in third gear?

This weekend I had a Continental Gt, and was racing an M5. I had 4 people in the CGT, and the M5 was going nowhere. Also, the M5 has chip and exhaust.

 

True, put someone in the Gallardo that can actually drive.

 

Yeah it's incredible how the M5 runs against the Gallardo...anyway doesn't mean it's faster or better...around a race track the G would have eaten the M5 without any problem. And that' the best that count!
But we know these are two different cars as well...

 

Not to mention, an 06 Gallardo is MUCH faster than an 05. Put it this way, recently i had NO problems pulling on Murcielagos. Going from a 1st gear punch, against an Egear Murci Roadster, I was able to pull several car lengths. True that my car is not stock, but all I have is exhaust and a gruppe M intake. But I could pull HARD!

Id love to race an M5. Or an M6

I would love to see a Contintental GT race. Suprised it was faster than the M5, would have loved to see that race!

 

I find that a little hard to believe, but whatever. Have you brought you car to a drag strip. run that thing if you have time and post the time slip. i am very curious to see what it traps and what the ET is. my guess 117-118 mph trap with an ET of prob 12.1-12.2.

 

why does it seem that there is never anything wrong with the G? there is always a reason why it doesnt pull away etc. when substantial evidence was shown that a G can pull from a 996TT, i thought the G was a monster, never did i come up with excuses for the TT not being able to hold up.

 

I have seen plenty of vids where a 996TT pulled the hell out of an m5 and gallardos. gallardos are great cars but they arent as fast as people think they are. 996TT and a g stock to stock are about equal.

 

You sure do alot of speculating as to what a car can, or cant do. A stock 996TT will get its *** kicked by a Gallardo. You dont even have a Turbo to give any real world opinions.

My car is here in Az now, we shall see what it can do.

Also, who cares what the car traps in the 1/4 with me driving it. Using a porsche as an example, buddies 930 trapped a best of 111mph. it was very tricky to launch, the 4 speed tranny killed it. On the road though, from say a 30mph punch, against another buddies Viper that consitantly trapped 118mph, he would pull everytime.

From this weekend, Murcielago's are 121-124mph cars, I pulled each and everyone of them.
