Gallardo NERA

Has anyone seen one of these in person? I am contemplating buying one sight unseen...

I just can't decide between the Nera or a gently used Murci for a few dollars more.

I love this Murci-- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...QQcmdZViewItem

I saw the Nera in person. It is a beauty. I really love the interior. Dont know if i'd take it over a Murci though.

I'm thinking the NERA is more of a collector's car,although it's a beauty I'd get the murci!

No, the car is not a daily driver. It will be driven 4-5,000 miles per year, mostly around town.

Since the nearest dealer is 300 miles away, I will have to have a flatbed truck haul it in for service - that is the only negative. Though, what's another $1,200 per year for hauling, peanuts in the grand scheme of things...

I may fly to a dealer and look before I buy, that might be a wise decision.

I was going to say NERA all the way. But then that is a pretty nice Murci, I wont lie.
That's a tough Q. I'm not normally a fan of the pre-LP Murci's.

They will have *similar* acceleration. The G will feel more tossable (much lighter), have a nicer interior, smaller (easier for town driving), etc.

Buy the Gallardo, the Murci feels and drives much heavier than the G. Better handling, my prob with the Nera is the black on black, very difficult to appreciate teh stunning style and lines on the G, and also a ***** to keep clean and swirl free. get a superleggera or a '06 G car...NOT in black.
Just MHO

@ C4s Dave

Nice choice. Very nice black beasts. Have you more pics of your garage? It looks very nice. I think you like black cars.
Because you have a black ExigeS, black SLK and yet the Nera. Congrats....Enjoy the rides.

I agree, I usually prefer blk/blk cars (see sig for proof...) but I would not get a Murci or G in that color combo. A Diablo, yes.

So true about being a ***** to keep clean! Seems like I can only keep 2 out of 3 of my cars clean at once.

You guys are too funny. Why buy these beautiful cars and only drive them so little or baby them? They are just cars at the end of the day, have fun with them. Flat bed for 300 miles? Think of the fun you will have those 300 miles.

Happy driving!
