Lambo vs. moscow traffic
JKB sorry you feel that way, I grew up in Moscow and went from being dead broke to being pretty well off at this point in my life. His original comment made me mad because most of the rich in russia came from the being the regular folk with thick skin (not that much old money there like there is in the states) so when they make it that thick skin mentality stays with you. And i don't consider us rude and arrogant ******. We might be more blunt and to the point when we speak to people, and that might be why some say we are ******. But i think in the states people don't like that or arent used to it.

Well aside from all that, I have many Russian friends here in Miami, and they are all very nice people. I happen to have a fascination with Russian women.
I am going to be in Moscow on May 31st for a week, I am going with some Russian friends, but it would be nice to meet more people there, so if there are any fellow 6speeder's in Moscow at that time, or any local 6speeder's there, I would love to meet up with you there.

I didnt try to justify anything i will be the first to tell u i'm an *******(proud of it) that's who I am, not to everyone but in general if i don't know u, sorry. And i really dont feel like i need to apologize, if it makes u feel better i will, but just to u. I really don't want to keep talking about this basically what it comes down to for me is don't judge anyone unless you've walked in their shoes which i know he hasn't.
Um, sorry for stirring things up. I meant no offence to mother Russia..... I had a great time, Russia is definitely worth a look see.... Moscow has more exotics(girls and cars!) than just about any place I have been.

I feel like i have to chime in on the whole russian thing:
I've been to Moscow and St. Petersburg several times over the past couple years, both on business and pleasure. Met many very interesting people, and a lot of VIPs as well.
Calling higher profile russians arrogant is simply a cultural misunderstanding. Russians are some of the nicest people in the world, but there is no "fake niceness" like there is in the US. You know, when you smile and pretend like you care about everyone you meet on the street. Russians may seem grim and arrogant to strangers, but it is simply because of the way the russian culture is.
Plus the country has been through some crazy times in the past 15 or so years. People can't help it but feel protective and apprehensive of everything and everyone. Simply running a business there is like going to war every day.
At the same time, once you actually meet or get to know some of the people that seem so aloof and arrogant on the surface, you discover that they are actually quite open and warm and really care a lot about the people who matter to them - without feeling obligated to project the politically correct "i genuinely care about every joe schmo on the street and owe everyone something"
In short, they are pretty real and a bit toughened by their lives. By the way, both Moscow and St. Petersburg are amazing cities.. I have not seen anywhere else that combines history and glitz and scale like those two places. Women, food, nightlife, people, buildings, cars - all amazing.
