2008 V8 Gallardo
Lambos started off as really expensive/rare cars... then came the more affordable gallardo... now they're making the affordable lambo even more affordable with a V8.... so maybe by the time I'm 30 they'll have a super affordable V6 lambo of some sort
From Lambos perspective this is a good move to push more volume. Eventually all nich market manufacturers will do this, they don't care about your resale value. They care about profit.
Since Audi took over Lamborghini never sold more than 250 cars total for the last 40 years. Since Audi took over they have sold more than 1300 cars the first couple years and probably well over 2,000 now per year. So they are doing something right for themselves. Every company needs to maximize profit to be in existence for the consumers.
Look at Porsche, nobody liked the idea of the Cayenne, Boxster and Cayman. But they are a vital part of Porsches financial success to keep on delivering cutting edge cars. No we will see front engine V8 coupes and front engine V8 sedans from Porsche soon.
People who worry about exclusiveness aren't the ones keeping these companies afloat. They need the masses to buy to be profitable. If you want exclusiveness build a custom car nobody else has.

I really hope this never happens... Lambo is throwing Frank Sinatra's saying in the garbage...
"You buy a Ferrari when you want to be somebody. You buy a Lamborghini when you are somebody."
If this car ever comes out, it's gonna be the other way around. Ferrari seems to be the only high end automobile manufacturer that remains exclusive. That's an important characteristic Porsche lost. I know profits have skyrocketed... But it's just too bad that's all everyone cares about these days.

Either way guys, this is still a mid $100,000 + car! There aren't too many people that shell out that type of money for a car to begin with. This is not like the boxter where anyone can afford to buy into the porsche name! Even at the price, the Porsche turbo looks like a bargain! It's still going to be exclusive! Besides the more money Lamborghini has, the better products that are available to us in the future! The idea is smart, but there is one problem. With pre-owned Gallardo prices approaching mid 100's, that might affect the sale of the V-8 variant!

Just my 2 cents, no offense meant to anyone.
