Heffner Twin Turbo Gallardo goes to the strip
708rwhp, 93 octane gas, 7.5lbs of boost. Best time was 11.00@130,
The car ran consistently and the traps actually improved after a few runs, finishing up at 133mph. Enjoy! http://youtube.com/watch?v=6nc0Cp6MUDY |
What do they run stock? I'm not really impressed by 11s from a twin turbo lamborghini!?

It is pretty impressive that they almost got in the 10's with it IMO. That trap speed is not bad at all either. |
Damn thats quick, engine sounds very nice and tight. Fantastic!

E-gear and better tires probably would have helped! But I don't think he was running on the project 700+ whp. In reference:
Carrera GT: 605hp 11.2@132mph 3048 pounds Stock Gallardo SE: 520hp 12.1@117mph 3152 lbs TT Gallardo SE: "720whp" 11.0@133mph 3152 lbs +/- Let's say the the car has a projected drivetrain loss of 15%, that 720 whp is around 847 hp crank. There's no way this car is pushing the acclaimed hp. With 720whp this car should easily be running low 10's if not high 9's at high 130's/low to mid 140's. If anything its probably running 720 hp crank! |

If anything its probably running 720 hp crank! This car will do 10s after some practice. We ran on a very hot, humid eve in Bradenton FL, and had trouble hooking up in first. The best short time was 1.90. Gearing was also an issue; fith gear came up 50 ft before the finnish line! The TT G is not a drag racer by any means. I took the car there just to test it out and get a baseline number. I was very pleased. This car is a beast! |

first off the car will do 10's. take in mind it was almost 100 degrees during the day and 90% humity. the car also weighs 3300lbs vs a cgt at 2900lbs. the results are accurate.

so basically this car with about 250 hp more than a carrera GT can run as fast as a carrera GT. its impressive, but given that it puts down well over 700 to the wheels, its not all that impressive. what does a heavier 700 whp 996TT run, easily mid 10s and trap 136-138? just to put things into perspective.

btw, that car sounds sick. sounds very much like a 996TT at low rpms and actually sounds like a lot of modded 996TTs when it was going down the strip. i remember marskis car sounding like that as well. very nice on that part.

That car would be unbelieveable on the street.
