I can't believe some of the people that spend all their time neg repping other people about their opinion. I swear all of these internet warriors out there that would not bust a grape in a fruit fight. Sign your neg reps whiny guys/ girls please?

You are the one rehashing the same old tired arguments about the transmission in this thread. I already addressed it directly in this post, which you (surprise, surprise!) failed to answer.

"Arguably", because C&D pretty much said the LFA was more nimble and they said it was a bargain. The LFA has also been described as sounding better than any Ferrari and better built than anything Italian, and I'm guessing the 599 falls into that category. One of the Brit mags also complained about the lack of bespoke componentry and the cheap ashtray of the 599 HGTE, which is something no review has said of the LFA.

"1.0G handling"...LOL. Grip != handling. You can put a GT500 on fat semislicks so that it pulls more g's than a Cayman S on a perfectly flat and smooth skidpad, but do you honestly think it "handles just as good" as the Cayman?

Does anyone else have anything to add, anyone that does not hide behind a keyboard throwing insults? I don't spend this much time trying to defend the cars I do own!

Can anyone see how desperate for attention someone is? Someone who isn't man enough to sign their own neg rep? Someone begging for my audience so much so that even though I have not responded to one of his posts in how many posts now he still keeps quoting me. What a sad life must that someone live?

It was faster, yet Koenigsegg only presold 10 cars in its first year. Meanwhile, Lexus are able to shift an allocation of 500 cars through various markets, out of 1200 submitted formal expressions of interest. You could also say the same of the first 394 bhp Pagani Zonda, a car that was no faster than the contemporary 550 Maranello. A car that was cheaper, and had considerably greater prestige due to the fact that Pagani had none, which we cannot say the same for Lexus/Toyota.

That wasn't me, so an apology from you is forthcoming. You being a "proper man" and all. LOL. Quit being paranoid. It's not your opinion that's being negative repped. It's how you go about conveying it. Avoiding direct questions, making claims that are unsubstantiated (and which turned out to be false), fishing for additional comments when in an open forum, people will post accordingly if they feel it's worth their effort, etc. I mean, this started out as a Porsche-centric forum and remains so to this day. Do you seriously think your typical Porsche owner gives a rat's **** that a Z06, ACR, or GT-R is faster than his car? If he cared so much, he would have easily bought one. I haven't given you the negative rep which you falsely accuse me of doing, but I can certainly understand where they're coming from.

What's there to see when we're comparing one money-losing car to another? His point is that there are other cars that are 6x's or 20x's more expensive than the GT-R, yet we don't expect them to be 6-20x's faster. It's just not realistic to do so. I will temporarily stay my ignoring you to say I am sorry for accusing you if it truly was not you. I think the forum policy is to sign your neg reps so speak up if it was you. And yes I also have gotten quite a few positive reps from this thread.

Ok now back to my ignoring of you, does anyone else have anything to add? And Jasper I agree nothing is ten times the car the GTR is...ok maybe a Nismo Z tune....

You know its funny the last time I checked I stated this to be my humble opinion of the LFA, should I punch myself in the face since my opinion is so obviously wrong? We again are spending all this time arguing value when I said a million times already this isn't about car brand X vs car brand Y or if the LFA is worth $400k. It is emphatically is worth $400k, and this is never and could never be in dispute.

Was it you Ducky? Did you ride in on a white horse to save the Lexus PR team? Am I not allowed to be disappointed in a car from a brand I supported with my own money? If Lexus had of marketed this car as the penultimate GT car instead of a clean sheet exotic than we probably would not be having this discussion. If the also clean sheet of paper MP4 wasn't a considerable amount lighter, provide more power and have been created by the company that made the greatest car ever we may not be either!

And to the neg repper that seems to think the title of this very thread is about value.....its not ....but hey the title has pushed it to 22 pages....

Thats what I came to love about the GTR, is it backed up all of the blatant fanboyism with real performance. And the people that were beating there chests about it well some actually went out and bought one.

Nobody has ANYTHING on the MFD (Multifunction Display) of the GT-R. The programmable oil/trans/engine temp gauges/g-meters/torque split/boost/fuel pressure monitors/etc... are just amazing to have in a VERY convenient way. I guess it helps that a gaming company (Polyphony - makers of Gran Turismo) designed it.

At this point, I am just continuing to be open minded. The more reviews and videos I watch, the more I like it. Performance/ cost aside... The aesthetics are continuing to grow on me. The only thing I truly don't like is the center console and dash. The top vents are like a cliff, with the deeply recessed Sat/Nav.

I love the interior to be honest, but part of me is a dash smeller and leather feeler. Lexus leather quality is 2nd to none, I find it interesting though that they use the same size, and looks to be the same Lexus touch controller as the RX does. I think though that it is like I drive from BMW for them ie used through their whole model line. The Lexus touch system in my opinion is by far the best remote controller used in a car!

And Ducky I truly apologize, and thanks for the positive rep. I have done some sparring over the days with Jasper GTR and Umadbro but that is what debating and car passion is all about. At the end of the day we can all respectfully agree to disagree!

Thanks also to the person who is trying very hard to become the first human invertebrate. Why would you be scared to sign your negative reps? I am close to reporting it to a moderator so I can find out who this inverterbate is and how they evolved into a life form able to type!
