I guess I'm not getting just what a GTE is, it's not shown on Lotus' site. I thought it was just this Mansory version that's scaring the crap out of everyone with this price....

 

Wow that looks incredible!! I love how dramatic the rear fenders are. Lovely car!!

 

Like everyone else said.. $200k is a hell of a lot for that car.. especially if it's just the Evora motor with a large supercharger.

 

Ditto. LP560/570 or 997 Turbo S for that level of coin.

 

Awesome. You would be the only one on the block driving THAT car for sure!! Great looking.. wished Porsche had a little more design flair.... as you can see. it can be done!!

 

Ok...just came back from a trip to China and Hong Kong and I jumped into the Lotus dealer in Beijing. I almost swear it was the GTE and it had a sold sign on the window, I asked the salesman and he said it sold for $600k US. To be fair, he had a regular Evora on the showroom and the price is typical of ~40%-50% greater than what we pay in the States.

Before all you skeptics out there chime in, here is another exp that is sure to make you sick to the stomach. On that same very goddamn block is an authorized dealer for both the Koennigsegg and Pagani, I walked in and the guy asks me if I have an appointment, I said I don't and lets make one. He sees that I am full of sh*t and just lets me in to peruse. Some special edition CCX and Zonda R I believe are going for $4 mil US. No sold signs though. I am in NorCal and do not even know where the nearest Koennig and Pagani dealer is.

Oh...did I mention that Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls, Bentley and all the other crappy cars are on the same block! Oh...for crying out loud, Beijing has TWO Bentley dealers that I know of in ONE friggin city!----->downright sick!!!!

 

Had to come back to this thread to take another look at the pics...I think I am in love with this GTE!!!!!!!!

 

i am more and more curious about AT in these vehicles. i have to guess that it is "worse" than PDKs but...

 

The next generation of Lotus models are coming with a 7sp dual clutch trans. I can't wait until these vehicles finally start coming to the US.

The wife is interested in the new Elise, Elan (me too), and Espirit (maybe too far off, depending on the price of the 600+HP Espirit trim level).
