I envy you. My commute is 10 minutes...it equates to 3 months of driving...(assuming I don't go anywhere else on weekends).

I use to enjoy my hour commute which was mainly back roads and twisties but now its just highways. Good thing is I'm moving closer to work so Ill have to do some more joy driving on the weekends when i have time.

Decided to take some video of a cold start with the PSE turned on and sport plus.

no paint protection as of yet but have been researching various options. i had a clear bra film on my last car but didnt like it, thinking of either doing glare polish finish on it or something like cquarts or opti coat.

Great car congrats. Had my new Cayenne total front end done with Xpel. You can't even tell it's there. My 997 has 3M partial the Xpel is much better.

I am considering opti-coat and have found couple guys who are "qualified" to do the job. If you don't want clear bra, I'd go with at least cquartz finest or opti coat.

Quote: picked up my Macan Turbo today, unfortunately in the rain so no good pics. Overall really happy so with the car. Hopefully I don't miss my 911 too much.

Sounds like a really nice Turbo with a good options list. Now that you've had it for a while, can you give us an update? We'd be curious what you love, anything you don't, and any options you would like that you didn't order or you wish Porsche offered, now that you have fully gotten used to it.

I love everything about it, and has for the most part exceeded my expectations in many various ways. I'm also very happy with the options i chose, there are a few that I would like to have but I tried to keep my build in a certain price range and there isn't one option i would want to take off.

The car is impressive in terms of performance and comfort. I have about 1400 miles and I'm waiting to really open her up but even the low and mid range power is strong. At the same time the ride can be like riding in an airplane, cruising triple digits without even knowing. Interior wise, its very quite, and the fit and finish is amazing. I really spoiled myself.

I really like the sport chrono package and the sport exhaust options but can see where some may not ever use them or think those options are worth it. The ride with springs w/ PASM is almost too soft in default mode imo. As they stiffen up they give a smooth ride but very responsive and along with the torque vectoring it rips through the turns very balanced.

Also I really like the spyder wheels, they get tons of compliments.

I also am glad i got no sunroof. I rarely used it on my 911, and I love the alcantara suede headliner look without one.

I wish i got a rear view camera for backing up. Compared to my 911 the blindspot is worse with poor vision of surroundings.

The 18 way seats keep you locked in, they are very comfy, and have way too many adjustments

I'll post more after the break in period is complete.

I'm sure the burmester is amazing but I am very happy with the bose compared to the bose in my previous porsche. Also, when you enable linear mode in the sound options you get rid of that heavy/muddy bass bose sound....

also i wouldn't trade any of my options for burmester.

side note: i Love the HOLD feature when at a stop light

I agree with your statements. BTW, you need to update your signature.

I have, in my Macan Turbo, the Boss and am very happy. Have the Burmester in my 991 Cab and not so happy with that sound. Waste of $ in a Cab.

I have the Bose in both my cars, the 911 is turned down or off most of the time, but the Macan sound is great, I do fully understand those of you that have great hearing, mine is not good enough and went with other options instead.
