Given the two vehicles are very very different to drive I'd take a '15 Turbo over a '16 S in an instant. I tried the S and almost cancelled out of the Macan World (I had at the time a Turbo on order). Then I got to drive the Turbo and it's what a Porsche is all about in my opinion. Now I've been driving the Turbo 5+ months and I'm simply thrilled with it. No way I'd settle for an S.

It Depends

I had a 15 macan S and traded it on a 16 which is "on the boat" and arriving end of this month. As an suv, the S is great, plenty of power and also value compared to the turbo. BUT ( and it is a big but) I have a 15 911 GTS when I want to go fast. I think the macan S is great and very quick...and $20-$25k less than a turbo. The telling point, I think, is that there are plenty of leftover turbo's but no macan s's on dealer lots.....the value is in the S and it will hold its value better as well.

Just wondering what facts you have to make a statement like that. If you do your homework, the turbo does cost more but it has many more standard options that the S does not. Once you take the S and include the same options and don't forget you will need to guy bigger brakes and change out clutch disk in your PDK and a bigger engine, then the price is similiar. The telling point is more people buy this for the SUV part and not as a performance vehicle, but not sure this will cause the value of a S to hold better. With checking out here in the west, there are dealers that have both S and turbos on their lots.
