New exhaust review for Porsche Macan!!
Hello everyone,
Yesterday I installed a Circuit Werks exhaust on my mothers Macan S. This system is from the downpipes back and features resonators in the first section, an x-pipe that reminds me of IPE's and Fabspeed like rear mufflers. I purchased this system because she and I wanted the car to have some more sound but not be insanely loud, nor did we want to spend upwards of 2k on an exhaust. Long story short this exhaust was a home run. What is the sound like you ask
here you go:
1. On cold start it sounds like stock with little deeper sound.
2. Normal driving with sport off the car is a tiny bit louder than stock but 100% livable with no drone.
3. With sport on the car's pops and gurgles are louder which is great but no too too loud.
4. With sport on at full throttle the car sounds ace, now it has little rasp even with the resonators.
5. If we compare this to the stock setup, the stock was about a 6 in loudness and this system is about a 7. It isn't a lot louder but a great deep tone that makes you want to drive like an ******* the whole time.
BUT the best part is you can configure this system in 2 stages. if you want louder you can reuse your factory front pipes without resonators and it would be even louder, about as loud as the fabspeed setup.
any drawbacks? NOT MANY but some
1. Connecting the front pipes to the pipe was little bit of a struggle because the slats that are cut in the exhaust where the claps wrap around are not in the ideal position but nothing a little thinking can't fix! So i would ask circuit weeks to fix this small problem.
2. The tips are great but when we were trying to align them, we noticed that the outer tip on the passenger side stuck out further than the inner tip in comparison to the drivers side. After some driving the system heated up and this problem seemed to go away.
Conclusion, I would definitely recommend this system to anyone who is interested in getting some more sound out of their Macan but can't justify spending the 2k plus needed to get one of the top manufactures. It offers great sound and the ability to adjust the loudness by retaining the factory non resonated front pipes for more sound or for little less, utilizing the Circuit Werks resonated front pipes.
Here are some videos i took of the exhaust
