Hi,

has anyone heard of Total brand of oil? It's apparently a French Brand oil and is supposed to be much better than the Mobil One factory. My local Independant shop highly recommends it over the Mobil One. Any opinions or know about this oil? It's fully synthetic and is supposed to exceed the Mobil One specs.

I've used it in previous cars over the years. Yes, it's good oil. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's French. However, I've been running Mobil 1 for many more years: 1. got more money to spend on other things. 2. Never lost an engine using either.
