Excellent work by Premier

Got my 2012 Maserati GTS and decided to have Premier do another full car warp for me. They did my 2008 BMW M5 before and it was excellent. Premier team posted some photos on when they worked on the car already:

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/maserati/276390-maserati-mc-project-week-no-kidding.html

So, I will post some of my own photos and feedbacks.

Premier did few things on the car:

Full car warp with Prestige's ClearGuardX film, www.prestige-films.com/auto_clearguard.shtml

Window tint with Prestige's PhotoSync window film, www.prestige-films.com/auto_photosync.shtml

Radar detector and laser shifter with Passport 9500ci, www.escortradar.com/store/passport-9500ci.html

Premier did the window tint with ceramic on the M5 (that was what is available at that time). I was told they have a newer and better product, so I decided to give it a try. I never really want to do windshield, cuz the concerns on visibility at night time or rain. But, wife has complained about the M5 was hot during summer even with the window tint, so okay, let’s go with the windshield too. 75% on the windshield and 45% on the sides and rear. The result is amazing. After I got the car back from Premier, I drove the car from SF Bay Area back to LA and it was over 95 degree on I-5 and you don’t really feel it. Contacted Premier after few days, cuz I want to get the PhotoSync windows tint on the M5 and my MB E350.

The clear bra is always great, no seam whatsoever. Most people probably can’t tell unless I tell them. You will see some photos comparisons.

Red Maserati is definitely a big target for police. The Passport has helped me several times on my way from Premier (SF Bay Area) back to LA.

The first 3 photos are taken before any window tint or clear bra and other 3 are after. As you can see with the 45% tint, it is darker, but no total dark to get you in trouble with police.

Also, can you tell which part of the car didn't have clear bra? There is a place that I hold off on the clear bra.

First 2 photos are before and the other 3 are after. With 75% on windshield, it still helps to keep the heat out and visibility is great.

Did you figure out which part don’t have clear bra? The rocker panels. If you look closely, then you can see the rocker panel before has the black matte paint mini skirt. They are carbon fiber inserts now, just like all these other carbon fiber parts. For some reasons, the dealer ordered the car with black mini shirt instead the carbon fiber one, so I have to get new rocker panels with carbon fiber, get the rocker panel painted and installed. I need to wait 30 days for the paint to cure before Premier team can put clear bra on them, but you can’t really tell. That is how clear and good these ClearGuardX film are.

why did you choose premier in norcal? they have a shop down south

dpyang Jun 5, 2012 12:33 AM

djantlive, yes, there is a SoCal Premier shop too and they worked on few things for me before. In fact, they will do the new rocker for me end of this month.

I grew up in SFBA (Foster City) and all the old friends wants to see the car and had some business meetings in Bay Area, so decided to drive up, drop the car there and stayed there for a week.

Here is how well PhotoSync Nano Tint performs (exact same shade as on this Maserati):

And here is a video test of Prestige Film Technologies PhotoSync65% with the windows rolling up and down to show how well this film performs. (the Maserati has PhotoSync45 which performs slightly better than the application in the video)

Conditions: 78 degrees
Time of test: 2pm

Two points:

1) BEAUTIFUL CAR!

2) That's the BEST video demonstration of how well that tint works. I'm sold.

Thank you!

One of the most commonly asked question is how well does Spectra PhotoSync compare with other window tint products. So we decided to actually put Spectra PhotoSync to test against a 5% metallic limo tint. Now keep in mind, the shades we used for comparison is PhotoSync65, 55, and 45, so much lighter compared to limo tint at 5%. There is also one major difference - the limo tint has metals in it so it can produce some decent heat rejection that would be comparable to a lighter ceramic based tint:
