Right now I have a Cayenne as my daily driver and I'm looking to trade in for an 07-08 Quattroporte. I understand the clutch problem from 06 but how do the 2007 and newer hold up? My cayenne puts my range rover to shame in terms of build quality and interior. How would it compare to a QP? I am only 16 so I don't exactly have a lot of money to constantly fix little problems, so from an owners point of view, how are the QPs?

 

Im a tech for porsche, rover, jag and maserati, and while porsche does indeed have a higher build quality (for the most part, rover and jag are improving every year), the maserati gt and qps didnt start becoming the most reliable until around 09ish from what i see (have only had maserati a year, so the older brands i see are few and far between right now). The newest maseratis have a high number of quirks right now (like ghibilis that evry day have a different electrical system that wont turn on for a yet unknown reason), but havent seen any major issues yet. The smaller the brand, the less testing and less vehicles out there to weed out the quirks.

 

i will keep the cayenne.. just looks better imho..
