I saw this posted on another forum and thought you guys would get a chuckle out of it. Rebadging is bad enough but to rebadge it into something that doesn't even exist is even worse? The guy is so lame that he doesn't even realize that if MB did make an AMG GL, it would be a GL63.

 

Chief of police needs to start reading about cars... wow, if that car ever had to go to service which im sure it will, i would be so embarrassed to take it to the dealership - im sure some people on the road are thinking wow oooh aah, the ones who know about cars are laughing their asses off

driving on north ave in chicago one day in my E55, a CLK320 passes me with an AMG badge on the back side where it usually goes (so i thought well sometimes the car just has it) but then an AMG license plate frame... couldnt help but laugh

 

What if he has the 55K motor under the hood?
That exhaust doesnt look stock or am i wrong?

 

It is GL550 so what if the guy took 0 away? it is still a 5.5 liter motor in there so technically it is a 55 motor in there!!! I think it sounds better too!

^^^ So many cars are sold at the dealership with AMG badges. I was looking into an sl500 about a year ago, 70% had AMG kits & badges.

I'm assuming he just took off the 0. Still lame though.

 

I dont know whats with you people whining about badges! Its his car he can write CHUBAKA55 on it, why do you even care lol...

 

I agree completely but at least if he put A55HOLE, he wouldn't look like a poseur. In the grand scheme of things who cares what others think, esp random people you don't know. It appears that some do and that is the issue.

 

i cant stand when people do this, and alot of this is done at the dealer but you have to understand it doesnt come factory like this, the clients ask the dealers to remove or add these badges.

 

He can put whatever he wants on it, no one cares. What the auto enthusiasts care about is the person in question trying to fool people into thinking his 100,000 car is actually worth 140,000
