so i went to the dealer lastnight after my wife went to bed!! i knew they have one since i saw a silver one with pan roof parked on the lot few weeks ago. it just looked so good that i had to investigate further.

the sales person was very nice and acutally let me drove one. he let me take my time and we took a long drive around the canyon too! this was just before closing.

anyway, there were two car with exact same MSRP at almost 96K. this included pan roof, P2, alcantara, Ipod, parktronic, automatic trunk, sunshade, can't remember. there was 3 other ones on the lot.

the white one actually has 7-800 miles on it-- credit didn't go through! he mentioned lots of saving on the white one. but after looking at both for a while, i just love the AMG in silver.

so i mentioned to him that the special lease was exteneded. he didn't believe that was possible. but his GSM printed out the deal from MBZ and i was right. the factory deal is 7900 drive off for 10K miles per year on a 91K car. this is for 27 months, which made me happy. i remember the deal last month was for 39 months.

anyway, i told him i would give him 3500 drive off and pay 1200 a month including tax for 15K miles per year. i didn't think this was going to go anywhere. he then came back with his GSM, this is when i knew we were going to BS big time.

i was pleasantly surprised when the guys said their best discount would give me 3900 drive off and at 1289 at those terms. after a quick conversation, we agreed on the drive off and i got it for 1265 a month including tax for 15k miles per year and 27 months lease. looking at the contract showed adjusted capitalized cost of 83890 and reisudal of 57870.

so far so good. i had a lot of explaining to do when i got home (she woke up)! i drove the car to visit some people on the other side of town. i am getting 21.5 MPG after 200 miles. either i got a v6 engine, or i am really driving slow these days!

hope that answers all the PMs.

the porsche was a great car under the right condition. unfortunately the right condition was not common found currently. i still wish i have the porsche, but i think the E63 will make me much happier on a daily basis.
