No extended warranty on cl 600?
No extended warranty on cl 600?
I recently got another car... however, i was contemplating getting a 2003+ cl 600... I found one that is still under factory warranty till august 08, and it is within the 50k miles for the warranty. I called mercedes up with the vin, and the sales guy said they have changed warranties quite a bit and that since the extended warranty was not purchased when NEW, that I could not buy an extended warranty...
anyone have any insight to this?

They're only offering the extended warranty to the first owner.
Try http://chryslerservicecontracts.com/ and contact Mike Case. I bought one on my CL55 and used it at the MB dealer with no trouble at all. The dealer told me they always have a good experience with this group.
I also had a warranty on a 911TT from Mercury Ins Group through http://autowarrantybroker.com/ which worked equally well.
Neither of the companies mentioned are high risk for a crash and burn.
