Great looking SLK, good choice on spending you cash on horsepower vs. wheels.

I'm glad you agree...I usually don't spend any money on "bling" or audio mods period. I used to have a lotus elise before and it pretty much had only performance mods as well: turbo kit (250whp), coil over suspension, and some aerodynamic aids. I didn't even bother to change the wheels from stock since the performance difference (if any) is barely noticeable.

Thanks for the invite, I'll definitely make it if I'm in town. Unfortunately, I work and attend college in Boston so I'm only in Miami on weekends and holidays

Yeah, but I'm 100% carless in Boston and take the "T" everywhere. I used to have a cayenne, but parking and traffic are such hassles here that I ended up selling it and buying a car for my Miami vocation home

I'm carless here as well.... travel up to 20-25 days a month so its not worth it to pay to park for parking in the North End, insurance, etc... car is in Utah and NEVER gets driven... sitting covered in dust with a dead battery i'm sure

Great looking elise too, very tastfully moded. Are the rear diffusers one of the "aerodynamic aids" they look bigger than the stock ones. I personally love the elise/exige. I would love to get an exige S, but with the economy slowing down, and a recession looming, I feel that perhaps saving my money may be the better choice. Maybe...

Not a problem. It's a monthly meet so just be on the look out for it. We post the information in the Florida forum.

If I were you, I would go with a used elise and install an aftermarket turbocharger... it would cost you much less and you'd have a faster car. Elise is also about 100-120lbs lighter than exige. Just don't make the mistake of thinking that elise can be a daily driver, you definitely need another car to go along with it.

Your elise must feel really slow next to 997TT and E63... you should install a turbo on it
