7 speed automatic Problems.....

Has anyone had them, (2006 E350) the Car is 2k away from warranty expiring so I'm taking it to the dealer this coming week.
I do not know if it's because of the cold weather but the it's happened 3 times already. The car seems to be stuck on one gear.

Today I got out of the freeway and will not go down from 6th, not even when I moved the lever manually, I usually live it in drive.

The other day it would not shift above 3rd. Once I shut it off and strt it again it's back to normal, Could it be Electronics or transmission it self.

I don't drive it hard and this is really piscing me off, never had a problem on my old Bimmer.

You should definitely take it to the dealer. I've heard of some 7-speed transmissions failing and being replaced under warranty... so if this is the case, you better take care of it ASAP.

When it does that it will store a code. Mine did it and it was a pressure switch I believe. Just take it in and check for codes.

I believe 06 was the first year of the 7 speed in the E class and they have been having issues, your dealer should be aware.

Thanks for the replies, hopefully is just a code like MOST-WANTED mentioned.

I'll post what happened next week.
