I dislike the wood in most car interiors. Instead of making the interior more refined and classy, wood (the fake stuff you find in most everything that is not high end and British) does quite the opposite for me.

Very nice work.

It depends on the car I think. On a car like Bentley or S-class, wood looks great. But on a more sporty car like E55, carbon fiber is probably a better choice.

The black wood in the E55/63 is hot, CF looks great as well.

I don't see a disconnect between wood and "performance". I don't see any reason why an interior should seem sparse. I enjoy sitting in luxury.

That said, Piano Black wood would be my choice if I was going for a "sport" look.

Thanks for all the comments, each individual has his own preferences, most super cars including AMG's have now the option to go either way. I just ordered a C63 for my eldest son and he specified an aluminum look which he prefered with his white exterior black leather interior combo. I guess that is why you have so much variety and options to choose from. As far as how much I paid; the Carbon kit price is 2.850 Euro and sport steering wheel is 1.400 Euro. Installation at the dealer was for free.

Love the CF interior. Very "Black Series".

Congrats.

Is it real CF or an applique?

That looks excellent! Should be a factory option in the US.

Any additional pictures of the car? Love the two tone interior!

I'm looking to pic up an E55 or E63 for a DD...

Always prefer carbon fiber over wood. I wish they would just get rid of wood options all together.

The dealer installed the CF kit for free? WOW! LOL, any reason they're working for free?
