The price of pre-owned CLs, particularly the CL600s has dropped significantly. I know you guys have experience with MB V12 engines. So, the question is: what should a buyer of a CL600 expect to spend for regular service (brakes, oil change, tune ups, etc)? Anybody have extreme out of warranty repairs? Should I expect to be in the dealership every month/week/day ?

a friend of mine who is 24 owns a cl55...
but his father's friend is a mechanic, who does the work for (almost) free.

thats the only way I would touch those cars out of warranty

They are reliable but
if something does happen expect to pay...

 

same - i would push to get a low mileage one still under warranty. you have no idea what these things can run for a simple fix. and you have to go to the dealer for EVERYTHING.
