i think i can break it down to a few parts.

1. safety - which is one thing people are skeptical about. for this please go to youtube and search for smart car crash test i think you will see the explanation by the engineers whom works on it. they use this car to crash into an e class and s class and then top gear crash the car into a wall at 70 mph

2. speed - its got 71 hp in a 1600lb car so it picks up like a civic or sentra but for srue faster than the hybrid car

3. stability - this is one thing people worry about the most too. i was surprised at how atable the car is at around 70-80. anything more than 80 the aerodynamia is a pretty big issues. you can drive this car at 80mph all day and pass big trucks without any issues. part of the reason is they move the motor so low to the ground to increase the stability. agian you should compare the rides to car with simliar price (such as sentra civic etc)

4. safety - its got tons of airbag and agian look into youtube for more info on this pls also not that the car they used in crash test is euro verion. Us version is stronger

5. handling - due to its light weight and most of the weight is at the bottom of the car. the car handles pretty good. again civic type good not ferrari type. its got abs and also benzs esp as well.

6. fuel economy. so far i am still breaking in my car and i get 37 mpg.

7. time - the only thing bad about this car is you wil get sooooo much attention and everyone will be looking at you and ask you questions. prepare to be a superstar driving one of this. people always smile and cute girl always says hi to you. its a fun car, but you are going to spend a lot of time explain to people what this car is.

if you want a fun commute car. this is the ultimate. trust me, EVERYONE will smile and look at you, EVERYONE...........

actually this one is a drop out order landed on my lap. so i have no choice of color or option. i basically have to take it as it is, but this color combo and the option list was right for us.

you can order any color panel. full set is 1600 and you can change the color of the car by yourself at home. all the body panel is plastic.

i'm actually thinking about getting rid of it though, and getting an alpha instead. the thing is lightyears away from this one
